Here’s a good news for all the Moto X Style users in India. The Marshmallow Update rollout which started last week is now complete. Motorola officially launched its flagship phone Moto X Style in India in September just days ahead Nexus 5X. With this Marshmallow rollout the competition between Moto X Style and LG Google Nexus 5X is certainly going to heat up.

The Marshmallow update for Moto X Style isn’t exactly surprising as the company already promised it a couple of times prior to India launch. This however makes Moto X the only Marshmallow device with SD card support in India as of today. This is particularly interesting because of new SD card features in Marshmallow. You can now format and use SD card as primary system storage!

For those new to the subject, Android 6.0 Marshmallow is the latest iteration of Google’s Android OS which is one of the most popular mobile OS platform. Android V. 6.0 features a list of features including doze mode, app standby, expandable storage, do not disturb, now on tap, direct share and more.

Recap: Moto X Style hands on review

With this update, Motorola is set to ditch some of the enhancement features which it used to ship with Lollipop device. Since feature like do not disturb and enhanced backing up of user data are standard are part of Marshmallow, company don’t see enough value in these dated features to continue with them.
