Motorola Edge 30 launched in India with 144Hz refresh rate & Snapdragon 778G chipset

Tech giant Motorola launched its flagship device Motorola Edge 30 Pro in February this year and now the brand has launched the vanilla variant Moto Edge 30 in the Indian market. It is a ‘lite’ version of the Edge 30 Pro smartphone which comes with an aggressive price point. It is being claimed as the ‘world’s thinnest 5G phone’ with good hardware. Moto Edge 30: Price & Availability

The Moto Edge 30 comes in 2 storage configurations-

  • 6GB RAM+128GB storage- Rs. 27,999
  • 8GB RAM+128GB storage- Rs. 29,999

It will come in 2 colors- Meteor Grey and Aurora Green and the sale will begin from May 19 (12 pm) across Flipkart, Reliance Digital, and other leading stores.

HDFC bank users will be eligible for Rs. 2000 instant discount using credit card or EMI transactions on Flipkart and Reliance Digital for a limited period.

Motorola Edge 30 Specs

The Moto Edge 30 features a 6.5-inch 10-bit pOLED display panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and hole punch cutout. It supports HDR10+ playback and has an in-display fingerprint reader.

The back of the smartphone is made of acrylic glass and it has a smooth matte finish. The sides are made of plastic and the front is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. It has an IP52 rating for protection against water.

The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset with up to 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 128GB storage. It runs Android 12 with Motorola’s custom My UX UI on top. The device is promised 2 major OS updates and 3 years of security updates.

In the camera department, Edge 30 has a triple camera setup on the back including a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. It has a 32MP selfie lens at the front.

It packs a 4020mAh battery with 33W Turbo Power wired charging. There are dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, support for 13 5G bands, NFC, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2. The phone is 6.79mm thick and weighs 155 grams only making it one of the sleekest and lightest smartphones on the market.
