Minimalist Light Phone III gets launched: Might be perfect digital detox partner for you

Phone maker Light is back with one more minimalist device that can prove to be your perfect digital detox partner in today’s social-media frenzy world. Light Phone III comes without any applications and is a compact device that has a black-and-white interface with a large 3.92-inch FHD+ matte OLED screen. The device has been designed in Brooklyn and Taiwan in collaboration with Foxconn and it will be available in India as well.

Light Phone III: Price & Availability

The Light Phone 3 is priced at Rs. 66, 805 in India and it can be pre-ordered at a special price of Rs. 33,360, which is at a 50% discount till July 15th. The shipping will start in January 2025. Light Phone II will also continue to sell and get updates as well.

Light Phone III: Specs

Light Phone III features a 3.92-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and it has a matte finish. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 Advanced Edition chipset paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The minimalist device is Dual SIM capable and runs LightOS with a minimal interface supporting a podcast player, texting, directions, notes, calendar, timer, alarm, and more. The phone has a 50MP rear camera with an LED flash and a dedicated shutter button for clicking photos. There is the top-mounted fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C audio, stereo speakers, 5G, WiFi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, GLONASS, GPS, NFC, and more. The Light Phone III weighs 124 grams and packs an 1800 powerhouse under the hood.

Talking about the phone, Light claimed that it can help users digital detox so that they can pay attention to more important tasks at hand.
