Micromax’s Canvas series flagships have always managed to arouse keen interest. Canvas 4 was launched in mid-2013 amidst huge fanfare (Micromax even started taking pre-orders for 5K before revealing full specifications) and since then, rumors of Canvas 5 have regularly surfaced, though the company managed to dodge the moniker each time. We thought the Canvas Sliver 5 was it, but finally the Canvas 5 has arrived loaded with all bells and whistles.

The handset is just 8.5 mm thick and flaunts a leather-finish plastic back cover. It has metal around side edges and includes a 5.2 Inch full HD 1080P display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass on top that gently curves at the sides.
