Xiaomi has confirmed with a Twitter post that its much-awaited Mi Mix 2S will be officially launched next month on March 27. Earlier, the phone was touted to debut at MWC 2018, but that obviously turned out to be false.

Since the teaser was posted on the Global twitter handle, it won’t be farfetched to assume that the Mi Mix 2s could see a global rollout followed by its China launch.

The teaser image confirms that the phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 chipset and also lists what looks like its  AnTuTu score of “2,73,741”.

Mi Mix 2S Features

Apart from the SoC details, we don’t have much credible info regarding the Mi Mix 2s yet.

The Mi Mix series has always focused on bezel-less design with a staggering screen-to-body ratio. This resulted in a selfie camera trade-off with the last generation model (selfie camera on the bottom simply doesn’t work) and Xiaomi is expected to fix that with a notch-screen this year. The selfie camera will reportedly be housed in a notch on the right corner of the 5.99-inch full HD+ 18:9 display.

Leaked renders don’t show a fingerprint reader on the rear or on the front. This could mean an in-display fingerprint sensor from Synaptics.

The Snapdragon 845 powering the handset is expected to be paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The phone is also rumored to include a 3400mAh battery.

Mi Mix 2S release date and price (expected)

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S official launch is scheduled for March 27, the same day when Huawei will launch its P20. The phone is expected to have a starting price of around $550 (Approx. Rs. 35,000).
