Meizu for its most expensive phone so far, has trusted upon Samsung’s Exynos 7420 octa-core chipset (same SoC as in Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge) over the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810, and with good reason. Benchmark result and user experience, both tout Samsung’s high-end chip as the best in business this year. The Chipset gets the additional support from Mali T760MP8 GPU and 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM options.

Meizu roped in Samsung’s Super AMOLED 5.7-inch display panel for its flagship phone Pro 5. The panel carries Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating to preserve the screen from unintentional scratch marks. Meizu Pro 5 in most offers excellent brightness, high contrast levels and saturated colors. The phone is available in two variant China i.e 3GB RAM plus 32GB storage and 4GB RAM plus 64GB storage. Pro 5 uses a hybrid SIM kit in this phone, which essentially means that you will have to choose between microSD card and a second SIM card.

The Meizo have incorporated Sony’s new IMX230 sensor in the primary camera module to ensure its customer could capture quality images in low light conditions. Motorola in Moto X Style and Moto X Play uses the same imagery sensor. Camera carries 21.6 MP tag with f/2.0 aperture lens alongside laser & phase detection auto focus, and Samsung’s own image signal processor. On sheet camera specs appears to be alluring but we reserve our verdict until we test it in low light conditions. Selfie lovers can also rejoice about its secondary 5MP f/2.0 camera.

The Pro 5 comes loaded with Andriod 5.1 Lollipop based on Meizu Flame OS 4.5, but the company has promised Flame OS 5.0 update in November.  This phone features a hybrid SIM setup, a fingerprint sensor and USB type C connector. The Meizu Pro 5 is available in China in gold, grey, silver and silver & black colour. The Chinese manufacturer is expected make Meizu Pro 5 available in India before the end of this year with an expected price of 29,900 INR (3GB RAM + 32GB storage version) and 32,000 INR (4GB RAM+ 64GB version).
