MediaTek is making a massive play for the next generation of portable computing with its newly announced Dimensity CX C10 Max. The chipset is also the first product under MediaTek’s new Dimensity Compute Experiences (CX) family for personal computers including Googlebooks.
Built on a 3nm Process
The Dimensity CX C10 Max is manufactured using TSMC’s 3nm process and features an eight-core “All Big Core” CPU alongside an 11-core GPU.

The CPU configuration includes one Cortex-X925 core running at up to 3.73GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores and four Cortex-A720 cores. MediaTek has paired this with an Arm Immortalis-G925 MC11 GPU, LPDDR5X memory support and UFS 4.0 storage.
MediaTek says the combination is designed to deliver flagship-level performance while keeping power consumption low enough for thin, lightweight and even fanless laptops.
55 TOPS NPU Puts AI in Focus
AI is one of the biggest highlights of the new chipset. The Dimensity CX C10 Max comes with MediaTek’s eighth-generation NPU 890, capable of delivering up to 55 TOPS of AI performance.
The NPU is designed to handle AI tasks directly on the device, including agentic AI features, transcription, summarisation and multimodal workloads. MediaTek says local processing can also provide faster responses while keeping more user data on the device.
The chip has also been designed around Google’s Gemini Intelligence features for upcoming Googlebook devices.
Better Cameras and Faster Connectivity
MediaTek has integrated its Imagiq 1090 ISP, which supports cameras up to 32MP. Features include HDR video, electronic image stabilisation, smooth video zoom and sustained focus for video calls and recording. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7 with speeds up to 7.3Gbps and dual-engine Bluetooth 6.0.
The Dimensity CX C10 Max will power upcoming premium ultra-portable devices including the Googlebook series, marking MediaTek’s latest push into the high-performance laptop processor market.
