Marvel Cinema’s Spider-Man No Way Home leaked online along with its release in theatres

0

The latest in the Marvel Universe Spider-Man No Way Home has already been released in cinemas. But the sad news is that the movie has also leaked onto some torrent sites and other networks that enable piracy.

The movie is available in differing versions of quality and file size (right from 847MB to 2.46GB). While many copies are found to be genuine, courtesy of the screenshots and comments to attest their legitimacy, but some comments also warn that links are fraudulent and just trap the users into loading malware, viruses, and whatnot onto their systems.

Even the genuine versions available come in poor quality with ads in between. We at Smartprix condone this illegal file sharing. This kind of piracy is against the law and filmmakers deserve to be paid for the content they create. Thus, I would sincerely request all those fans of Spider-Man who don’t want to or can’t go to cinemas to wait till the movie streams on an OTT platform. Please don’t download and watch the pirated version, which is low in quality and illegal too.

The first leaked version of the movie came up on multiple torrent sites early on Thursday, December 16 with a label “CAM” suggesting it was filmed with a video camera in cinemas. This could happen because Spider-Man No Way Home has already been released in the UK and other markets on Wednesday and in India on Thursday.

According to the screenshots and comments, the illegal Spider-Man rip is also filled with ads. It is available in English and Spanish and is found on an online gambling and betting website. There are no subtitles and nor any ads in the version available on this gambling website. Overall user experience is bound to be very poor if you pirate the movie from any of these sites.

The sigh of relief for Sony Pictures, Marvel Studios, and the cast and crew is that the CAM recorded version of the Spider-Man movie is terribly poor. So much so that on sites it’s unwatchable. As per the screenshots visible, even the faces of people are not recognizable. The shots are too dimly lit and no expressions or cues can be understood. There are issues with its sharpness, detail, contrast, cropping, angle, and colors. Posting screenshots here would be sharing spoilers so I won’t do it but as far as I tried hearing, the audio quality is as terrible as the video quality. These leaks should encourage the viewers to watch it in theatres only.
