Mahindra Thar Armada enters final testing phase

Expectations from Mahindra’s latest toy: Thar Armada (Thar 5-door) are rampantly high as the SUV goes into final testing phase. The same was spotted near ARAI test facility in Pune which means that the much anticipated vehicle is coming closer to launch.

Thar Armada: A Preview of Adventure

Another incident of Thar Armada spotted near ARAI’s Pune facility has created a buzz among fans. The variant looks like the high-end one of the SUV featuring such excellent aspects as new 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Moreover, The prototype contains a 10.25 inch touch screen infotainment system offered on a 25-inch display with creative integration of in-vehicle entertainment and human interface connectivity.

With the Thar Armada going through its final stages of testing, there are several improvements to potentially look forward to than the 3-door Thar. Whether it is the new grille and the redesigned bumpers or new features like LED lights, a rear wiper, or a remote fuel-filling cap everything has been distinctly designed to further add to the beauty of its performance. There will be a full digital instrument cluster; push the button to startup, front & rear center armrests, roof mount sunroof, rear a/c ducts within the cabin providing luxurious interior comfort to the intermediate passengers.

Power and Performance

The Thar Armada should be powered by the same engines as the Scorpio N- a 2.2-litre diesel with either a 105hp or 182hp power output. 2 liter diesel engine and the dynamic 203hp, 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine. Thar Armada features four wheel drives option which essentially adds to the performance of the vehicle in different terrains.

Launch Timeline and Pricing

Mahindra Thar Armada- The next major launch after XUV 3OO is expected to hit the Indian roads by second half of the year. The exact pricing of the car has not been revealed yet but sources in the industry suggest that it will be more expensive than the Scorpio N and its base model might have a price tag of Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom).
