LG unveils “Hybrid AI” gram range of laptops with On-Device & Cloud AI Services

The Consumer Electronics Show 2025 is approaching, and in anticipation of the event, lifestyle brand LG has introduced its Hybrid AI Gram series of laptops. This lineup represents LG’s inaugural foray into on-device AI-powered laptops. The series, which will be showcased at CES 2025, features the gram Pro, gram Pro 2-in-1, gram, and gram Book models. These LG Gram laptops will incorporate the brand’s innovative Gram technology, merging advanced local and cloud-based AI to deliver personalized, secure, and efficient user experiences.

LG will announce the pricing and availability details for the gram lineup during CES 2025 or at the time of global rollout next year.

LG Gram series: Features

The LG Gram series of laptops boasts impressive features, including on-device AI driven by a compact language model developed from LG AI research’s EXAONE. This capability enables local data processing, providing secure, rapid, and precise responses. Among the standout functionalities is Time Travel, which permits users to access previous content such as web pages and files swiftly.

Cloud-based AI will utilize GPT-40 to provide comprehensive, web-based insights, seamlessly integrated with personal calendars and emails to boost productivity. Additionally, the company is offering a complimentary one-year subscription to Gram Chat Cloud.

The laptops utilize Intel’s newest processors, featuring the Intel Core Ultra H-Series and V-Series, known as Arrow Lake and Lunar Lake, respectively. These processors are engineered for high-performance applications, with the H-Series emphasizing conventional computing capabilities and the V-Series tailored for AI-centric functionalities.

The LG Gram Pro 17Z90TR laptop heads the lineup, offering an impressive blend of performance and portability. It features the Arrow Lake chipset and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 graphics, all while maintaining a sleek and lightweight design for easy transport. The premium model is equipped with a 90Wh battery and is driven by the Intel Core Ultra 9 processor. Additionally, it boasts a 17-inch WQXGA display with a brightness of 400 nits.

The LG Gram Pro 16Z90TS is the inaugural model to incorporate Copilot+ functionality. This ultra-portable laptop boasts a slim profile of just 0.49 inches and a lightweight design at only 2.73 pounds. It features a 16-inch display, making it the lightest option in the Pro series. Additionally, the device is equipped with a 77Wh battery and Intel Arc graphics, supporting up to 32GB of RAM.

The LG Gram Pro 2-in-1, model number 16T90TP, has been honored with the CES 2025 Innovation Award. It includes a wirelessly rechargeable stylus, enhancing user interaction and catering to the needs of creative professionals. Powered by a 77Wh battery, it boasts an OLED display with a brightness of 400 nits.

The LG Gram Book (15U50T) is an entry-level laptop designed to enhance LG’s presence in the US market. It features a 15.6-inch FHD display, a 720p HD camera, and a sleek design that highlights the advantages of the Gram series at an affordable price. Weighing 1.7 kg, it is equipped with a 51Wh battery, and 16GB of RAM, and offers storage options of up to 1TB, complemented by Intel Xe graphics.

The 2025 LG Gram series introduces Link 2.0, an enhanced version of LG’s device connectivity feature. This upgrade facilitates effortless content sharing and file transfers between various operating systems, including iOS and Android. Additionally, users can manage incoming phone calls directly from their Gram laptops, ensuring a smooth workflow without interruptions.
