LG Showcases World’s largest OLED Screen in South Korea

World’s leading OLED Screen manufacturer LG has placed astonishing 13×8 meters OLED screen at South Korea’s Incheon International Airport. To put this in better perspective, the display size is equivalent to three large-sized shipping containers. The South Korean Conglomerate has placed two of these gigantic screen at the Incheon International Airport as a clever marketing strategy for its 4K-capable OLED panels to millions of daily travelers.

To achieve this feet, LG collaborated with Wilmotte & Associés, a French firm, which combined 140 55-inch curved OLED panels to achieve the gargantuan display. Park Wan-su, President and CEO of Incheon International Airport, on the occasion said: “These OLED displays perfectly complement the advanced technology that our airport has become known for. We are always eager to showcase to the millions of travelers every year the cutting-edge technology that originates from Korea. OLED is a prime example of that”.

“While the world’s largest OLED sign is certainly something to be proud of, we are more excited about the opportunity to introduce travelers from across the world to the magic of OLED. The benefits of OLED technology can only be viewed; they cannot be described with mere words.”  said Ro Se-Yong, senior vice president and head of the business-to-business solutions at LG Electronics.
