LG has released two QNED 83 Series smart TVs in India: 55-inch and 65-inch. They offer 4K resolution along with Dolby Vision/Atmos and support up to 120Hz refresh rate for gaming enthusiasts. Further, the premium TVs offer features like resolution upscaling and variable refresh rates. Here’s everything we know about the new LG smart TVs.

The most striking feature of the QNED 83 Series remains the Quantum Dot and NanoCell technology, which is what the series is named after. Combined, these technologies account for accurate colors and adequate brightness in 4K resolution.

Under the hood, the smart TV series is powered by the α7 AI Processor Gen 6 that supports AI Picture Pro and AI Super Upscaling. Both features optimize video quality for the best viewing experience. Further, the TV supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos to provide excellent dynamic range and surround sound.

Both the 55-inch and the 65-inch models come with 20W sound output via dual, down-firing speakers. However, the models also support the AI Sound Pro feature, which produces virtual 5.1.2 channels. Other features for facilitating excellent video quality include AMD FreeSync, LG Game Dashboard, and Optimizer.

The models support a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. Further, it also offers a variable refresh rate. Out of the box, the smart TVs run on LG’s webOS. It is also compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa and supports Apple Airplay 2.

Regarding ports, the QNED 83 Series comes with four HDMI ports that support up to 4K 120Hz input, two USB ports, one Ethernet port, one RF input port, and one optical digital audio out port. Further, it also features Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth v5.0.

The 55-inch model from the series costs Rs. 1,59,990, whereas the 65-inch variant costs Rs. 2,19,990. Both variants are available via the company’s official website.
