Lava has launched an affordable 5G smartphone in the country. The Lava Blaze 2 5G comes in three colors, two storage variants, a 90Hz screen, and runs on Android 13 out of the box. Here’s everything you should know about the new Lava Blaze 2 5G: its design, specifications, price, and availability.

Lava Blaze 2 5G Design

Regarding the design, the smartphone is available in three minimal colors, including Glass Black, Glass Blue, and Glass Lavendar. At first glance, the shades look different from what is generally available at the phone’s price point.

On the front, the smartphone has a central punch-hole screen, and nearly symmetrical bezels on the top and both sides, but there’s a noticeable chin at the bottom. The right spine houses the volume rockers and the power button (which doubles as a fingerprint scanner), while the left spine is clean.

At the bottom, the phone has its USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack for listening to audio and attending phone calls via a wired headset. The rear panel features a circular camera module, which features two camera sensors and an LED flash. At the bottom left corner, there’s Lava’s branding.

Lava Blaze 2 5G Specifications

The Lava Blaze 2 5G ships with a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD curved screen. It also supports up to 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6020, an octa-core SoC based on 7nm fabrication technology. The processor features two 2.2GHz cores and six 2GHz cores, along with the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

Along with the entry-level processor, the phone offers either 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM. These models offer 64GB and 128GB of storage, respectively. The storage, however, is expandable up to 1TB using a microSD card. As mentioned earlier, the phone runs on Android 13 out of the box. The company also promises an upgrade to Android 14 and two years of security updates.

On the back panel, the Lava Blaze2 5G features a 50MP primary sensor with a 0.08MP VGA sensor, while on the front, users get an 8MP selfie shooter. Powering the smartphone is a 5,000 mAh battery that supports up to 18W wired charging. Regarding connectivity, users get 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, and GPS.

Lava Blaze 2 5G Price

The 4/64GB variant of the smartphone costs Rs. 9,999, whereas the 6/128GB variant costs Rs. 10,999. Lava Blaze 2 5G will be available from the popular online shopping platform Amazon and other retail outlets from November 9, 2023.
