Lava Agni 2 5G launch gets confirmed: Will be powered by Dimensity 7050 SoC

Homegrown brand Lava has teased the launch of a new 5G smartphone in the country. The successor to Lava Agni, Lava Agni 2 has been confirmed to arrive very soon. The 2nd generation smartphone will be powered by the newly launched MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset.

Lava Agni 2 5G: Expected features & specs

As mentioned above, the Lava Agni 2 will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset that has a peak clock speed of 2.6GHz. The chipset has 2 Cortex A78 cores and 6 Cortex A55 cores that clock at 2.0GHz. In terms of GPU, the smartphone will get Mali G68. The same chipset is also expected to be a part of the upcoming Realme 11 lineup launching on May 10 in China.

Lava Agni 2 has been spotted on Geekbench which confirmed that the device will run Android 13 out of the box and have 8GB RAM. It is likely to offer 128GB onboard storage and has microSD card support as well.

The smartphone is expected to feature a 120Hz AMOLED panel that will also be an upgrade over the 90Hz panel found on Agni 5G.

Lava Agni 2 is coming with loads of upgrades and upgrades means a hike in pricing. So while Lava Agni 5G was launched for Rs. 20,000, Lava Agni 2 5G is expected to cost more than its predecessor.  However, Lava Agni 2 5G will most probably cost under Rs. 25,000.
