Several Jio subscribers experienced an outage this morning, which was widely reported on Twitter. The company is now offering a complimentary unlimited plan to its customers in Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh that acknowledges the network problem.
Below is the complete message that Jio is sending to affected users in these regions:
“Dear Jio user, Your service experience is our top priority. Unfortunately, this morning, you and few other customers in Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh faced service disruption. Although our teams were able to resolve this network issue in a matter of hours, we understand that it wasn’t a pleasant service experience for you, and we truly apologize for that. As a goodwill gesture, we are extending a 2-DAY COMPLIMENTARY UNLIMITED PLAN that will get applied to your number automatically tonight. The complimentary plan will become active post the expiry of your current active plan.”

Note that affected users will receive the free unlimited service automatically tonight.
India’s Jio mobile network is experiencing issues according to several users. Similarly, Downdetector shows a spike in complaints related to the network.
The number of issues reported on Downdetector related to the Jio network is gradually declining, indicating the problem has been resolved for users. The majority of tweets sent to @JioCare were made from Madhya Pradesh and surrounding areas, suggesting that this particular region was affected by the outage. In the last few hours, hashtag Jio has been replaced by hashtag Reliance Jio on Twitter. There are currently network-related issues with the official customer support handle. The response now reads, “Our team is working on it, and services will be restored as soon as possible.”
The Reliance Jio cellular network seems to be down for some users merely hours after WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and other apps were affected. Jio subscribers in India have not yet been informed whether this issue is limited to a particular region.

Several users complained about the Jio network outage on Twitter. In India, #jiodown was trending when this article was written. Jio network issues were reported by around 4,000 users on Downdetector.
As you can see from the Twitter timeline for #jiodown tweets, people have been reporting connectivity issues since this morning.
Twitter users complain about no network at Reliance Jio’s official customer support account, @JioCare. There are issues with Jio’s network reported across the country. One generic response that the JioCare handle is giving primarily to people with network issues is, “We regret the inconvenience caused to you. You may face intermittent problems in using internet services and making or receiving calls/SMS. This is temporary & our teams are working on the same to resolve it as soon as possible.”
It appears to be an issue affecting only a small number of Jio users and is not widely affecting Jio subscribers throughout the country. However, Downdetector shows a spike in users reporting issues with Jio’s network in India.
