Chinese consumer tech brand iQoo has launched its first smartwatch in China – the iQoo Watch. The wearable comes with an AMOLED screen, runs on Vivo’s BlueOS operating system, and has a version that supports electronic SIM for cellular connectivity. Regarding health and fitness tracking features, the iQoo Watch also features heart rate and blood oxygen tracking sensors. Since iQoo is a popular brand in India, the smartwatch could also launch soon. That said, here’s everything we know about the new device.

iQoo Watch Screen Size And Sensors

Out of the box, the iQoo Watch flaunts a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen that supports always-on functionality and has a 466 x 466 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the device runs on Vivo’s BlueOS operating system. However, whether this is a great decision or a missed opportunity, as most Android smartwatches in the segment feature Wear OS, is something that the market response will determine.

For health tracking, the smartwatch features a SpO2 sensor that estimates blood oxygen levels and a heart rate sensor. Other sensors include an accelerometer, a gyroscope, an ambient light sensor, a hall sensor, and a geomagnetic sensor that works as an on-device compass. That said, users can use the smartwatch to measure and monitor their sleep, stress, menstrual cycle, and over 100 exercises in the designated sports modes.

The Smartwatch Supports Bluetooth Calling And Contactless Payments

Like other Bluetooth smartwatches, the iQoo Watch also has a microphone and speaker system that supports hands-free voice calling. There’s a version that supports electronic SIM as well. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth v5.2 and NFC (for making contactless payments).

The smartwatch is powered by a 505 mAh battery that supports wired charging and delivers up to three days of runtime on a single charge. However, readers should know that the effective battery life depends on the usage patterns, which is the number of times all the sensors and other features, such as voice calling, are used.

iQoo Watch Price And Availibility

In the Chinese currency, the iQoo Watch costs CNY 1,099 or about Rs. 13,000 for the Bluetooth-only variant. The version with electronic SIM costs CNY 1,200 or about Rs. 15,000. On the company’s official website for the region, the watch is listed in two colors: Star Track Black and Haoyu Black. However, the Indian pricing and availibility of the smartwatch aren’t known at the moment.
