iQOO 12 5G Launched in India as First Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Smartphone: Price, Specifications, Bank Offers

After a successful debut in China and select global markets, the iQOO 12 has now officially landed in India. Pioneering the smartphone market in the country, it introduces the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, promising significant enhancements in performance and gaming experiences. Boasting features such as an LTPO AMOLED display, storage options of up to 512GB, the latest Android 14 operating system, 120W fast charging capability, and a substantial 5,000mAh battery, the iQOO 12 aims to set new standards in the Indian smartphone landscape.

The iQOO 12 has been introduced in India with a price tag of Rs 52,999 for the 12GB + 256GB version and Rs 57,999 for the 16GB + 512GB model. Buyers can avail an instant discount of Rs 3,000 by using an ICICI Bank card, and there’s an additional option for up to Rs 5,000 exchange bonus.

The smartphone is offered in elegant White and Black color variants, and interested customers can make their purchase through Amazon. Those holding a priority pass can grab the phone on December 13th at 12 PM IST, while the general sale kicks off on December 14th at 12 PM IST. To sweeten the deal, iQOO is providing a 6-month extended warranty and a 9-month no-cost EMI offer.

iQOO 12 Powerful Processor and Specifications

The iQOO 12 presents a sizable 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display, boasting a resolution of 2800 × 1260 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. With features like HDR10+, a punch-hole cutout, and a 144Hz variable refresh rate, the display delivers an immersive visual experience. Additionally, it achieves up to 1400 nits brightness and 3000 nits peak brightness, ensuring clarity even in varying lighting conditions.

Under the hood, the smartphone is fueled by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, coupled with an Adreno GPU. Notably, it incorporates a dedicated Q1 chipset aimed at enhancing gaming experiences and optimizing frame rates. Users can choose configurations with up to 16GB of RAM and enjoy ample storage with options up to 512GB.

Running on Android 14-based OriginOS 4.0, the iQOO 12 features a robust camera setup. The rear cameras include a 50MP Omnivision OV50H primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle Samsung JN1 sensor, and a 64MP 3x telephoto camera. The phone also includes a dedicated V3 imaging chip. On the front, a 16MP snapper handles selfies and video chats.

Powering the device is a substantial 5,000mAh battery, supported by 120W fast charging. The iQOO 12 incorporates practical features like an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, Hi-Res audio, and more. In terms of connectivity, it covers the essentials with 5G SA/NSA, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
