Apple has taken the wraps off its latest iPhone lineup, which includes the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Packed with an array of enhancements, these new models have stirred up excitement among fans eagerly awaiting the start of pre-orders. In an intriguing development, a recent report has unveiled an exclusive iPhone 15 feature that Apple has yet to officially announce. Set for release next week, this undisclosed feature is designed to significantly boost the iPhone 15’s battery lifespan, adding to the appeal of this latest generation of iPhones.

iPhone 15 Maximum Charge Limit Feature

In a recent discovery by 9to5Mac, references to an upcoming battery feature have emerged within the iOS 17 Release Candidate code. This yet-to-be-announced feature is expected to grant iPhone 15 users the ability to establish a maximum charge limit for their device. Essentially, if a user selects, for example, a 65% limit, their iPhone will cease charging once it reaches that designated threshold. This innovative feature aims to provide greater control over battery management for iPhone 15 owners.

According to the report, this upcoming feature is anticipated to be exclusive to the iPhone 15 series, as it was not found to be enabled on iPhone 14 models. Users can expect to access it conveniently within the Battery settings menu, alongside other related features. Additionally, the settings will display the timestamp indicating the last time the user charged their iPhone to the set charging limit, offering valuable insights into their battery management practices.

The introduction of this new feature is primarily targeted at enhancing the overall lifespan of iPhone batteries by preventing them from reaching a full 100% charge with every cycle. It aligns with the recommendation for Lithium-ion batteries, as charging them to their absolute maximum capacity can accelerate their degradation over time. Notably, similar battery limit features are already accessible on several Android smartphones, reflecting a growing trend toward battery-conscious design in the mobile industry.

Apple iPhone 15 Series India Price

The highly anticipated iPhone 15 series is gearing up for pre-orders starting tomorrow, September 15th, with the official release slated for September 22nd. The iPhone 15, an entry-level model, begins at a price of Rs 79,900, while the iPhone 15 Plus comes in at Rs 89,900. For those seeking more advanced features, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are available at higher price points, costing Rs 1,34,900 and Rs 1,59,900, respectively. These offerings cater to a wide range of preferences and requirements within Apple’s latest smartphone lineup.
