You can get yourself an iPhone 14 or 14 Plus in five color variants at the moment. Turns out there’s a sixth and new color in the works as well due to arrive this spring. Apple is likely to launch iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus clad in a rich Yellow colorway this spring as per Mac Otakara which has a reputation that precedes it.
MacRumors stated that Apple’s PR team will be assembling to brief about the new product earlier next week. We got a Green colorway with iPhone 13 series on March 8th and we could see the same for iPhone 14 series albeit in Yellow color. Note that there’s no official date available so far which means you will have to wait to know what unfolds.
The Cupertino-based giant usually adds new colors to its existing iPhone lineups during spring to increase sales. iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini getting the Green and the iPhone 13 Pro getting its hands on Alpine Green. The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini got a special Purple colorway back in 2021. It goes on to show how Apple uses new color variants to spike sales.
Coming back to iPhone 14 and 14 Plus, you have Starlight, Midnight, Purple, Blue, and Product Red colorways available at the moment. The yellow colorways as teased above will be the sixth variant added to the catalog. It remains a mystery if Apple will roll out the same color on iPhone 14 Pro models or not so we will have to wait for more information on that one.
2023 will also see Apple’s iPhone 15 Series released later this fall with the Apple A17 Bionic chipset on at least the Pro models. There’s a special Deep Red and it’s different from the Product Red that we have on iPhones.
