Instgram Adds New Sticker Packs
First and foremost, Instagram has added 17 new sticker packs, including 300 new stickers to share in DMs. Further, users can also mark a sticker as a favorite (from the chat) and reuse it without spending any time finding it. Those created with cutouts will also be markable for easy access.
You Can Now Set Nicknames For Friends Or Family Members
Besides new stickers, Instagram is including the ability to add nicknames for yourself or friends. This will help users simplify lengthy or unusual usernames. If you set a nickname on Instagram, it only appears in the DM chats, i.e., it won’t change the username anywhere else on Instagram. Once set, the Nickname can be changed at any time. Further, users can decide who changes their nickname within a chat.
If you wish to create a Nickname, tap on the chat name at the top of the conversation. Then, hit the Nicknames and the username of the person to whom you want to add a nickname. Afterward, change the nickname in the text field (up to 32 characters) and hit the Done button at the top right corner. If the feature seems familiar, it is because Messenger (Facebook) also provides it.

Share Live Location Via Instagram
Last but not least, Instagram users can now share their live locations (for up to 1 hour) or pin a spot on the map. This will help the millions of Instagrammers who use the app for coordinating event times, hangouts, or catch-up locations. Users can only share Live Locations in a one-to-one or group chat.
By default, the feature is off, i.e., you need to enable it explicitly to share your location. What’s good is that the location can’t be forwarded to other chats. In addition, users will also see an indicator (at the top of their chat), which will remind them about the live location and stop it if necessary. For now, the location-sharing feature is only available in select countries. However, it will extend to more regions soon.
