With OTT Streaming on an all-time rise, various leading platforms stream a multitude of web series every other day. Whether they are in English or in Hindi, whether they belong to the genre of thriller or romance, there is no dearth of content to stream online. However, no matter how much content is released, only some shows are able to get love from the audiences, while others fade away into oblivion.

One of the most common parameters to measure the success of a web show is its IMDb Rating. Now, IMDb has released a list of the 50 most popular Indian web series of all time. The list includes shows streaming on Netflix, Disney+Hotstar, Amazon Prime, Zee5, SonyLIV, MX Player, Voot, and Jio Cinema (a total 12 OTT platforms). The list includes names like Shahid Kapoor’s Farzi, Manoj Bajpyaee’s The Family Man, and Vikrant Massey’s Broken But Beautiful & Criminal Justice.

Before we share the list of these top 50 web series, let us have a look at how the list was created and how do those included in the list feel.

How was the IMDb List made?

IMDb itself shared the video, with the caption- “The IMDb Top 50 Most Popular Indian Web Series of All Time are here! Save this post to complete your watchlist. The rankings of the Top 50 Most Popular Indian Web Series of all time are determined by the page views of IMDb customers in India between January 1, 2018 to May 10, 2023.”

Speaking about two of their web series (Farzi & The Family Man) being included in the list, Raj and DK shared, “We are flattered and humbled that both of our shows, ’The Family Man’ and ‘Farzi’ have made it into the list. It reinforces our faith that we are doing something right and further fuels our motivation to work hard and do our best and make good cinema.”

Meanwhile, this list can prove to be a checklist or a binge-watch list for those who love to consume content and are looking for something good to watch these days.
