Huawei Y9s has been officially listed on the company’s India website as well as on retail partner Amazon India. The price and availability details are yet to be announced, which is understandable considering the limitations posed by COVID-19 lockdown.

Huawei Y9s was first introduced in late 2019 and is deemed to be a rebranded version of Huawei 9X Pro (in China). The phone will have Google Play apps but is running dated Android 9 Pie-based software.

Huawei Y9s Features

The handset measures 8.8mm in thickness and weighs 206 grams. Huawei is using a Full HD+ resolution TFT LCD screen that’s notch-free, thanks to the pop-up selfie camera.

The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side. Y9s employs Kirin 710F chipset paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Other highlights include USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 4.2, 4000mAh battery, and three color options – Breathing Crystal, Midnight Black, and Phantom Purple

The specs don’t make an impressive read, but hopefully, an aggressive price would still keep the handset relevant in India.
