Huawei Launches Watch GT Active and Elegant, Wireless freebuds, 40W Powerbank, and Smart Glasses

Huawei P30 series launch event was ‘eventful’ majorly due to the high-end P30 and P30 Pro phones. But on stage, the Chinese tech giant also took the veil off a slew of other products like Watch GT Active and Elegant, wireless earphones, 40W Powerbank, and Smart Glasses. Let’s see what each of these products bring to the table.

Huawei Watch GT Active and Elegant

The new Watch GT Active is mostly similar to the previous generation. The only difference is in the design front. Watch GT Active sports an improved design and a new bezel pattern color.

The Elegant Edition is the one that varies from the other models. It has a smaller 42mm case with ceramic bezel cutting. It packs a smaller battery that lasts only 7 days with normal use, 14 days while receiving messages and call notifications with heart rate monitoring turned off and 10 hours while the same monitoring, continuous exercise tracking, and GPS are turned on.

Huawei would soon roll out a Triathlon mode that can record a complete data of your triathlon activities like swimming, cycling and running, including activity transitions. Even you could expect more traditional or modern digital watch faces to be available soon.

The Huawei Watch GT Elegant and Active Edition would be out in different strap colors like Dark Green, Orange, White, Black Fluoroelastomer to match the body. Now coming to their prices, they would be available at 229 Euros (approx. Rs. 17,765) and 249 Euros (approx. Rs. 19,320), respectively.

Huawei FreeBuds and FreeLace Wireless Earphones

 

Huawei also unveiled the FreeLace wireless earphones and Apple AirPod doppelganger FreeBuds. The former is claimed to offer up to 18 hours of playback, 13 hours of talk time on a single charge and up to 4 hours of playback time with a five-minute of quick charge. Meanwhile, the latter would endure up to 12 hours of battery life, chargeable through the available case.

Huawei FreeBuds has an added benefit over AirPods due to their black color variant and IPX4 water and dust resistance, apart from the spec difference. It is priced at EUR 119 (around Rs. 9,200).

Huawei FreeLace, on the other hand, supports quick and easy Bluetooth pairing with any Huawei phone running EMUI 9.1. It also carries a 9.2mm dynamic driver unit as well as a TPU diaphragm and titanium plating on top. This touted to provide a better treble and bass experience. They feature a magnetic switch, Hall sensor, noise cancellation, Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, volume controller, voice assistant support.

The Huawei FreeLace headphones would be available in Graphite Black, Amber Sunrise, Emerald Green, and Moonlight Silver colors. Starting April 11, they would be on sale in select countries at EUR 99 (around Rs. 7,700).

Huawei 40W Powerbanks

The 40W SuperCharge Powerbanks comes with Germany’s TUV Rheinland safety certification. You could charge smartphones, smartwatches, cameras, tablets and even your laptop with it. As for the charging speed, the company brags 70% juice in 30 minutes. It also has a super fast 40W input speed that could fill the Powerbrick in 2 hours 14 minutes.

Huawei Smart Glasses

The Chinese tech kingpin has partnered with Korean brand Gentle Monster to build a Smart glass that lets the users answer voice calls. This works thanks to the onboard dual microphones and speakers. Being a smart glass, it would also let you access voice assistant wirelessly.

Speaking of wireless, you could juice them wirelessly through their case(with inbuilt 2200 mAh battery) or inserting a wire into its USB Type-C port. Their pricing is yet to be revealed and could be expected soon as they would hit the shelves around July this year.
