The HTC Desire 728 Dual makes its way across Chinese boarders to Indian terrain, and in ‘coming weeks’ you will be able to grab one off the shelves for 17,990 INR. In Desires series line-up, the handset is subordinate to HTC Desire 828 Dual SIM  (of the Ultrapixel Selfie fame) which the Taiwanese maker is pushing in online market space for 19,990 INR.

Design doesn’t digress much from what we have come to expect from HTC’s desire series, and that’s not a bad thing at all. There is a 5.5 Inch HD display, mirroring HTC’s Sense UI (based on Android Lollipop), handled by 1.3 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 (which we are seeing an awful lot these days), paired with 2G RAM and 16 GB storage.

Further, 2TB of expandable storage along with signature HTC Boomsound frontal speakers (Dolby supported) should take care of multimedia side of things. For photography, there is 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture lens, BSI sensor and a 5MP BSI front-facing camera sensor. You can record 1080p videos from both front and rear snapper.

Other notable features include 4G LTE, WiFi b/g/n Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with a-GPS and a 2800 mAh battery.

The HTC Desire 728 Dual is one of many mid-range Desire series handset, which on paper feels like a good option for brand conscious basic and moderate users. It shall get more attention post the first few price cuts.

“The new HTC Desire 728 Dual SIM brings distinctive design into a feature-rich smartphone, providing you with a great value smartphone which you can truly make your own. We want to provide a powerful, fully customisable experience to our customers, and the HTC Desire 728 Dual SIM brings this in abundance,” said Mr. Faisal Siddiqui, President South Asia HTC.
