HP is all set to unveil new convertible laptops from their Envy and Spectre series with a 15.6-inch AMOLED display in April. The Spectre x360 15 had debut back in CES 2019 and it was only recently the company decided to introduce the same panel in its Envy lineup. They are expected to initially hit Europe and the US markets and then in time the rest.

HP Envy and HP Spectre: What’s exciting?

HP is undoubtedly one of the top players in the PC market and Envy as well as Spectre are their premium flagship grade laptop series. While Spectre is the crown jewel, both in specs and price, Envy caters to customers who want high-end laptops but also want to spend less. Since you would be shelling bucks on these laptops, the AMOLED displays would be one more reason to go for.

If you use your laptop for gaming, entertainment or productive uses, the display is where you consume all of these. AMOLED displays project better blacks and overall color reproduction along with being light on eyes.

HP Spectre and Envy would also be shipping with Intel’s Core ‘Whiskey Lake’ CPUs. This is Intel’s latest line of 8th-Generation mobile processors behind the next generation of laptops. The same processing power is within ultrabooks like Dell XPS 13. The chipset also houses UHD Graphics 620 integrated GPU. We also expect it to support 802.11 AC Wi-Fi connectivity.

HP is tight-lipped about most other specs and details. So, we will have to wait till April for affirming the alleged specs and details so far. Upon release, the HP Spectre x360 15 convertibles would be available via HP.com with retail availability through Best Buy expected in May. As far as the Envy x360 15 convertible is concerned, it will be available next month in Europe first and later in the US.
