One of the world’s most popular content-sharing platforms, YouTube, has released its own version of the “know your year” or “Recap” feature. Until now, several music-streaming platforms (including YouTube Music) have offered this feature as a shareable experience that brings people together on social media.

YouTube Recap Is Based On Your Watch History

Like other recaps, YouTube Recap highlights your interests, deep dives, and moments you explored on the platform this year, based on your watch history. The platform will offer users a set of up to 12 different cards that spotlight users’ top channels, interests, and even the evolution of their viewing habits.

Interestingly, YouTube is also telling users their personality type based on the videos they watched in 2025. For users who listened to a lot of music, they’ll see Top Artists and Songs of the year, with the option to dive deeper into top genres, podcasts, and even a snapshot of their international music listening on the YouTube Music app.

However, the blog post mentions that the feature will roll out to the “rest of the world” this week, which should also include.
