Launched back in August at the Huawei Developer Conference in China, the Honor Vision Smart TVs are finally on their way to India. They are now confirmed to land in the country on October 14 at Indian Mobile Congress 2019 to be held at New Delhi. The press invitation reads, “Join us at the India Mobile Congress, as we unveil the world’s first pop-up camera smart TV Honor Vision.”

Here’s everything you can expect at this event:

Honor Vision Pro

The Honor Vision Pro sports a 55-inch 4K HDR IPS display that features the NTSC 85% wide color gamut, 178-degree wide viewing angles peaks brightness of up to 400 nits, 16:9 aspect ratio, TUV Rheinland certified blue light filter and 60Hz refresh rate. It comes with a pop-up camera, 6 far-field microphones, and 2 extra 10W speakers.

Under the hood, you get the Honghu 818 quad-core chipset, coupled with a Mali-G51 GPU and 2GB of RAM. There is also room for a 2.4GHz HiSilicon Hi1103 chipset, that grants faster 5Hz dual-band and 160MHz bandwidth support for peak download rates up to 1.7Gbps. The software is Huawei’s recently unveiled Harmony OS.

I/O includes Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 3x HDMI ports, 1x USB 3.0 port, and 1x Ethernet port. It comes in a 6.9mm thin metal chassis.

Honor Vision Vanilla: What’s different?

As evident from the name, this one’s a watered-down variant that compromises on a few fronts. For instance, it boards four 10W speakers only. It doesn’t have the Pro cameras and microphones found on the top-end model.

Both the TVs boast high-end image processing technologies such as Motion Estimate and Motion Compensation (MEMC), HDR, Super-Resolution (SR), Noise Reduction (NR), Dynamic Contrast Improvement (DCI), Auto Color Management (ACM) and Local Dimming (LD).

So, the date is October 14 and you may mark the calendar if you’re thinking of Smart TV purchase.
