The Honor Magic 6 Pro, Honor HTech’s latest flagship, is gearing up for its debut in India. In a series of teasers, Madhav Sheth, CEO of Honor HTech, has drawn attention to the launch by comparing it to the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, despite the latter being a foldable device and the Magic 6 Pro a traditional slab phone. The comparison has raised eyebrows, but for rather obvious reasons.

Adding to the anticipation, an official on X (formerly Twitter) confirmed the device’s imminent arrival in India. Tipster Paras Guglani further fueled the excitement by revealing that the Honor Magic 6 series will hit the Indian market in July 2024. Guglani also mentioned that the Magic 6 Pro will carry a premium price tag. However, Guglani doesn’t have a pretty good track record, so take it with a heavy pinch of salt.

The Honor Magic 6 Pro has already made waves outside of India and was showcased at MWC 2024, highlighting its cutting-edge features, especially the cameras. The device sports a 6.8-inch OLED LTPO display with Full HD+ resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 5000 nits, with 1600 nits in high brightness mode.

Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, it offers up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. As for the optics, it features a 50 MP primary lens with adjustable aperture, a 50 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 180 MP periscope lens with 2.5x optical zoom. There’s also a 50 MP front camera with 4K recording and a TOF + IR sensor for face unlock.

The device is backed by a robust 5600 mAh battery, supporting 80W fast charging and 66W wireless charging. As the Honor Magic 6 Pro prepares to enter the Indian market, tech enthusiasts are eagerly waiting to see if it lives up to its premium billing.
