Honor Magic 2 with retractable slider and 6 cameras launched: Price and Specifications

Honor Magic 2 which was teased earlier at IFA 2018 is now official. This phone comes with a retractable slider which houses the front camera module similar to the one found on Oppo Find X or on Mi Mix 3. But unlike the Oppo phone, this mechanism is not motorized.

Honor Magic 2 Features

Honor Magic 2 flaunts 6.39-inches of pure display without any notches. It sports a Full HD+ AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. This display also houses an in-display fingerprint sensor beneath it. Magic 2 is powered by Huawei’s latest Hisilicone 980 chipset supported with Mali G-76 GPU and 6GB/8GB RAM. It comes in two storage variants with the 8GB version: 128GB /256GB and a 128GB variant with the 6GB version. The storage is expandable up to 256GB with the help of a microSD card.

This phone packs a triple camera on the back consisting of a 16 MP f/1.8 aperture PDAF primary sensor, a 16 MP, f/2.2 aperture wide-angle lens and a 24 MP f/1.8 aperture Monochrome lens. The unique feature of this device is that it houses a triple camera setup even on the front, taking the total count of cameras to 6. On the front, Honor has included a 16MP f/2.0 aperture selfie camera bolstered with two depth sensors of 2MP each. This front camera module brings the 3D face unlock feature as well to the Magic 2.

Honor Magic 2 runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie based Magic UI 2.0. It houses a 3,500 mAh battery which can be charged by a 40W super-fast charger. It has a type-C USB cable and does not include a 3.5 mm jack.

It comes in three colors: Gradient Red, Gradient Blue, and Gradient Black. The price of this device is 3799 Yuan for the 6GB+128GB variant and 4299/4799 Yuan for the 8GB+128GB/256GB variants.
