Honor 90 5G To Launch In India On September 14

After several leaks and rumors, Honor has confirmed the Honor 90 5G launch date for India. The Amazon landing page for the smartphone now lists a date, and it’s not too far away. Apart from the launch date, the Amazon listing also highlights a unique feature of the smartphone, marketing it as the “World’s Highest & Safest Phone For Your Eyes.”

As mentioned on the Amazon microsite, the Honor 90 5G will launch in India on September 14, 2023, at 12:30 PM IST. A banner on the e-commerce platform also reads that it’s an Amazon Special product. While we’ve seen a leaked specifications list of the smartphone, its landing page turns our attention to a unique feature.

The Honor 90 5G will feature a 3840Hz Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) dimming display, which is TUV Rheinland flicker-free certified and achieves a risk-free dimming level that is safe for the eyes. The technology unlocks several features on the phone, including Risk-Free Dimming, Dynamic Dimming, Circadian Night Display, Low Blue Light, and Dimming Adjustment in low light, as the Amazon landing page mentions.

Amazon also confirms that the device’s screen can achieve a peak brightness of 1,600 nits, has a 1.5K resolution, and runs on MagicOS 7.1, based on Android 13.

Honor 90 5G Specifications And Price

The Honor 90 5G could come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, and up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It should also feature a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging. Regarding price, the Honor 90 5G base variant should be around Rs. 30,000 in India.
