HMD Global “Nokia 2” Images Leaked Online: Is This the Budget Smartphone by Nokia?

HMD Global, after making a dashing comeback in the smartphone business with its Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and a high-end Nokia 8 smartphones, is now reportedly working on a new smartphone called the Nokia 2 that lies close to the lower end of the spectrum. The news came from trusted and reputed source Evan Blass, who posted a picture of the so-called Nokia 2 on his twitter handle.

Nokia 2 Expected Specifications

The leaked images of the Nokia 2 showed that the new Android powered phone of the HMD Global will come in two color variant – black and white, run on pure stock Android Nougat and feature on-screen navigational keys.

It was also tipped to us that the phone will boast of 5-inch HD (1080X720) display on the front and could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 212 processor. The processor will be backed by 1GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage. To keep things running, the Nokia 2 may house a massive 4000mAh battery.

At photography front, the Nokia 2 will sport a vertically placed back camera with the 8MP sensor and LED flash installed in it. Up front, it has a 5MP front camera for selfies.

Nokia 2 Expected Price and Availability

As for the pricing, the Nokia 2 is will be available at a reasonable rate. And considering it’s a low specs affair, the phone is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs. 6,000. However, the information regarding its availability still remains a mystery.
