iPhone 15 Pro

Last month, we got a peek into how the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro design thanks to some basic CAD images. Cut to now, the folks at 9to5Mac along with Max Weinbach and other sources including MFi accessory makers, have created high-quality CAD-based renders for the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro that show it to the fullest.

Titanium Frame

iPhone 15 Pro series is expected to get one-up from the non-Pro series. A titanium frame is in the queue as a significant upgrade on the iPhone 15 Pro with a rounded-edge design. It will subdue user complaints about sharp edges as seen on the current generations of iPhones.

Tiny Bezels

Bezels are apparently one of the important traits in flagship phones as they get thinner with every iteration. The iPhone 15 Pro, will have bezels measuring 1.55mm only. It is thinner than the current phone with the slimmest bezels that would make the display look edge-to-edge. Xiaomi 13 Pro holds the current title of the thinnest bezels at 1.81mm.

Dimensions

Talking about the dimensions, there are minimal changes between the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and the current iPhone 14 Pro.
iPhone 14 Pro: 71.45 x 147.46 x 7.84mm
iPhone 15 Pro: 70.46 x 146.47 x 8.24

The iPhone 15 Pro is much thinner at the camera bump but shorter and thinner overall compared to the iPhone 14 Pro. The reduced bezels would give iPhone 15 Pro a much better screen-to-body ratio whereas iPhone 14 Pro looks more pronounced with its thick bezels comparatively.

The all-new color: iPhone 15 Pro

Looks like iPhone 15 Pro will bring an array of changes. One of them is the new color aka a deep red color with the color code 410D0D. It will be sold alongside Space Black, White, and Gold while replacing Deep Purple. We even got some renders for the new color a few weeks ago but you can check out the high-def image above.

The Cameras

The camera bump on the iPhone 15 Pro CAD images looks more pronounced than ever. The protrusion for each sensor has grown a bit more as each sensor will protrude just a tad bit more. Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max’s camera bump would be comparatively smaller than the Pro even though it has a periscope camera due.

The USB-C on an iPhone

Get ready to witness a revolution like never before. The CAD-based renders show the USB-C port on an iPhone 15 Pro that will make it to the public later this year. The images show a metal ring surrounding the USB-C port along with the bottom-firing speakers and other hardware. The USB-C port does look fine on an iPhone given the fact that it has used a lightning port ever since its introduction.

Haptic volume and mute buttons

Apple will make its transition from hardware to solid-state haptic buttons. iPhone 15 Pro will get two haptic engines to mimic button presses and provide haptic touch accordingly. The mute button will have a haptic response too where it will function as a push button.

These were some of the significant upgrades the iPhone 15 Pro is expected to arrive with. These high-quality CAD-based renders are based on trusted MFi sources and thus, one can take it as a credible piece of information although we would still recommend taking it with a pinch of salt. We are still half a dozen months away from the actual iPhone 15 Series launch which means there might be other changes involved on the devices as well.
