Apple made a major leap in design with the iPhone X in 2017 which had a different design language, an OLED upgrade, and Face ID. Since then, there have been incremental design changes but it seems Apple is getting ready for a major design change with a supposedly model dubbed Apple iPhone 17 Slim.
Touted to arrive in 2025 alongside the entire iPhone 17 series, the iPhone 17 Slim will likely replace the ‘Plus’ variant due to its low sales volume. Talking about the iPhone 17 Slim, rumors have it the upcoming model will be slimmer than others. It will have a smaller Dynamic Island. There’s no intel on whether the phone’s actual size would differ although we have heard it is likely between 6.1” and 6.7” of OLED. A birdie told us a 6.5” or 6.6” OLED seems like an appropriate size although we will leave it up to you to decide until we don’t get any further information.
Moving further, the phone is likely to pick up aluminum chassis and will be more expensive than Pro Max. For instance, the current-gen iPhone 15 Pro Max is pegged at $1,199 meaning iPhone 17 Slim could go higher on the pricing segment.
One of the design changes that are in the pipeline is the relocation of the triple rear camera from the top-left corner to the center. We are also hoping for a better front camera and an A19 Bionic chipset under the hood to name a few.
In any case, the design hasn’t been finalized at the time of writing this. We aren’t aware if the iPhone 17 Slim will make it to the market or not.
