Google Officially Brings Chromecast 2 and Chromecast Audio to India At 3,399 INR

Search engine giant Google has officially launched Chromecast 2 and Chromecast Auto in India for Rs 3,399 each. Google first showcased this second-generation streaming device and its Audio streaming accessory in September last year in the United States. Chromecast 2 become first streaming device which Google has officially launched in the country.

The Chromecast 2 is a dongle best suited for beaming media content from one smart device to TV or any display with an HDMI port. Google has introduced a new feature on Chomecast known as “Fast Play” which lets user start video or audio streaming with just a single tab on the cast button. The device can be controlled with the help of new Chromecast app that lets users search content from various media streaming platforms including youtube, Netflix, Google play Movies and various others with Chromecast support.

The Chromecast 2 deliver enhanced performance and flaunts a better design in comparison to its predecessor. The second generation chromecast comes in a round dial shape with an HDMI cable looped inside it. It is equipped with three antennas and supports advanced wi-fi standards to deliver fast data transfer speeds.

On the other hand, Chromecast Audio is an audio streaming device which can be plugged into normal speakers, car audio, television and home theater to stream audio over wi-fi. It is best suited to convert any Aux compatible device to wi-fi enable device. The audio streamer backs high-quality audio with 2 watt RMS. It is compatible with Android, Windows and iOS devices.

Google India has priced both these device at Rs. 3,399 in India which almost 1K more compared to US price. The Chromecast 2 will be available in three colors– Black, Lemonade and Coral. The company has partnered with on Flipkart, Snapdeal, Paytm, Reliance Digital and Croma stores to retail it across the country.
