Google Chromecast 3 Is Now Available In India: Price, Features

Google has quietly made its third-gen streaming dongle, Chromecast 3, available in India. The streaming dongle that connects to your TV using HDMI port can be used to stream or cast content from different apps and services on your phone, PC, Chromebooks, Macs or laptops to your TV.

As of today, more than 800 apps have Chromecast support and you can also mirror your phone or PC screen using the dongle.

Chromecast 3 Price, Discount Offers, and Availability

Google Chromecast 3 will be available exclusively on Flipkart for Rs. 3,499. It’s currently available only in Charcoal color.

Chromecast 3 vs Chromecast 2: How is it different?

Compared to Chromecast 2, the Chromecast 3 has better Wi-Fi reception. The Antenna gain has been improved from 2.1 dBi to 4dBi, or almost 50 percent. The Chromecast 3 is also supposed to show 15 percent performance improvement over Chromecast 2.

Also, the glossy plastic of the puck has been replaced by a matte finish exterior.

Just as the second generation dongle, the Chromecast 3 supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5Ghz) and can stream 1080p at up to 60fps. An upcoming software update will also enable the Chromecast 3 to sync music with other Google Home Devices. It has also been designed to work with Google Assistant

The listing doesn’t reveal if the dongle has Bluetooth support that was mentioned in the FCC filing.
