Google’s Android Twitter account revealed the upcoming Pixel Buds A-series in what looks like a scheduled tweet, and which has since been pulled down. The Pixel Buds A-series are quite similar to the existing Pixel Buds, but these are pegged to be cheaper as is evident from the ‘A series’ moniker that Google also uses for its mid-range Pixel phones.

The image shows that these buds will have Fast Pair support and work with Android 6+ phones. That’s it. Google being Goole we expect a few more peppy color options. In fact, an earlier leak suggested that a green color variant is also underway.

Lastly, since this is an A-series product, the probability of these buds making it to India is higher.

A full official unveiling is likely at Google I/O alongside the much-awaited Pixel 5a. The event starts on May 18 and apart from new gadgets and loaded tech conferences for developers, Google will also talk about upcoming refinements in Android 12 and WearOS

According to a new Counterpoint report, the TWS earbuds market is expected to grow 33 percent (YoY) reaching a staggering 310 million units in 2021. A major boom is expected in the fourth quarter.
