GPT-5 Family Could Comprise Four Models

According to the GitHub blog post, OpenAI could release four models as part of the GPT-5 family.

These may include the vanilla GPT-5, which is designed for tasks involving high-level reasoning or multi-step execution. Then comes the GPT-5 mini, which is a toned-down and cost-effective version of the same model (perhaps with some limitations).

Then comes the GPT-5 nano, which is made for lightweight tasks where the time of response matters (it might power the hands-free ChatGPT on mobile). Last but not least, there’s the GPT-5 Chat, which is designed for multimodal and natural searches for enterprises (it can likely handle large inputs and then come up with contextually-aware responses).
