Samsung Galaxy A05 was announced in September 2023, and we have not seen a refresh since then. But it looks like that’s not going to be the case for long, as we have spotted the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A06 on the Wi-Fi certification site with the model number SM-A065F/DS.

We can confirm that the Galaxy A06 will be the successor to the Galaxy A05. If history is anything to go by, we’re expecting the A06 to hit the shelves around September this year. However, considering the Galaxy A04 launched in August 2022, there’s a possibility the A06 might arrive earlier than expected.

Samsung typically also launches an “s” version of the A0X series alongside the non-“s” version. For instance, the Galaxy A05s, a better version of the A05, was launched alongside the Galaxy A05. Therefore, we can expect the Galaxy A06s to also launch with the A06. 4

While the certification doesn’t reveal detailed specifications, it confirms that the Galaxy A06 will support both 2.4 GHz and 5G Hz bands. While we await more detailed information, let’s take a quick look back at the Galaxy A05 specs to get a sense of what the A06 might upgrade:

Galaxy A05 Specs Recap

  • Display: 6.7-inch 60 Hz PLS LCD, 720 x 1600 pixels
  • Chipset: MediaTek Helio G85
  • Memory: Up to 128 GB storage, 6 GB RAM, microSDXC slot
  • Main Camera: 50 MP + 2 MP depth sensor

  • Battery: 5000 mAh with 25W wired charging
  • Price: INR 10,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant

The A05 wasn’t the most thrilling release, so fingers crossed the A06 brings some much-needed spice to the lineup. Keep in mind that the A0X lineup is the absolute lowest-end Samsung phone you can buy, so it’s better to keep expectations low.
