South Korean giant Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A05s in Malaysia about two weeks ago within the affordable category between INR 10,000 to INR 15,000 mark. Seems like Samsung has already made plans to launch both the Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A05s in India. This comes from tipster Abhishek Yadav according to whom, both the phones are expected to make their debut in India between October 16 and 22.

There are no confirmed bits on pricing although there’s strong support at under INR 13,000 for the Galaxy A05 while the Galaxy A05s is expected to fetch a price tag of under INR 15,000. Both the phones will have a single storage configuration, two major Android updates, and four years of security updates in place.
Samsung Galaxy A05 and A05s Specifications
Talking about the specs, we have a 6.5” HD+ panel onboard A05 while the A05s get a larger 6.7” FHD+ display. The distinction between Malaysian and Indian units is the presence of a 90Hz refresh rate on A05s.
A05 is powered by MediaTek Helio G85 SoC while A05s packs a rather trusted Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 4G uses. We already covered the software part where both the phones will see two major Android upgrades and four years of security update support. Both will have Android 13-powered OneUI out-of-the-box similar to their Malaysian units. A single 128GB+6GB configuration is available across both the models.
On the optics, Galaxy A05 packs in a dual camera setup including a 50MP primary and 2MP depth sensor along with a front camera at 8MP. Talking about Galaxy A05s, it takes on a triple camera setup with 50MP plus 2MP depth and 2MP macro snapper. The front camera is also a larger 13MP sensor.
Both the phones are powered by a hefty 5,000mAh battery paired with 25W fast charging support. For the unversed, this is the same charging speed that Galaxy S23 uses by default so yeah, Samsung has been very consistent here. Lastly, we have USB Type-C, Bluetooth v5.3, and a 3.5mm audio jack. You can choose from Light Green, Silver, and Black colorways available on both models except purple which is limited to A05s only.
