TL; DR
  • Redmi Note 15 series India launch is reportedly scheduled for early January 2026.
  • Key features include a 200MP OIS camera, a 120Hz display, and 120W charging.
  • Pricing might be similar to the Note 14 series, with availability from mid-January.

We have not heard from the Xiaomi group for a while now. Their last launch was the Redmi 15 in the country. It seems like the company has been silently working on their future product launch strategy in the background.

Xiaomi’s next-generation Redmi Note 15 series is reportedly scheduled to launch in India in early January 2026, according to industry insider Yogesh Brar. This new timeline puts to rest widespread speculation that pointed towards a late 2025 debut for the popular smartphone line.

The Redmi Note series is a significant part of the company’s portfolio in India, and this new schedule provides a clearer expectation for consumers. While we await the Indian launch, the device specifications are already known from its recent release in China.

Redmi Note 15 series specifications

We have seen the Redmi Note 15 series in the Chinese market but the models coming to India will have some changes. That said, the Redmi Note 15 series will stick to larger displays with the Note 15 Pro Plus model packing a 6.83” high refresh rate OLED panel, Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC and much more.

In comparison the Note 15 Pro comes powered by the MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400-Ultra processor, and the vanilla Redmi Note 15 getting the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. Redmi might be replacing the camera sensors on all three models. These included a new 200MP primary sensor on the Note 15 Pro Plus, while the Note 15 Pro model gets the 108MP sensor and the regular Note 15 launching with an updated 50MP camera.

Pricing & Availability

According to our source, Xiaomi aims to maintain its competitive edge. The pricing for the new series is expected to be very similar to that of the outgoing Redmi Note 14 lineup.

Following the early January announcement, the Redmi Note 15 series is slated to go on sale across online and offline channels by mid-January 2026. We expect official teasers to start appearing in late December.
