Chinese smartphone manufacturer Realme doesn’t seem to be taking a break this year. We’ve been busy covering the Realme 12 Pro from January to the GT 6T earlier this month. Now, we have something exclusive for you, something that the brand hasn’t done so far. We’re presenting the exclusive images of the global retail box of the brand’s upcoming flagship—Realme GT6—in partnership with @OnLeaks.

Yes, the phone belongs to the same series as the Realme GT 6T we reviewed recently, but there are a few reasons to be on the lookout for this one. Spoiler alert: the Realme GT 6 will be the brand’s first handset to feature GenAI features out of the box. Here’s everything we know about the upcoming smartphone, including details imprinted on the leaked box images, the expected launch, and speculations regarding its specs and price.

Exclusive Leak: Realme GT6 Retail Box

Attached above are two pictures of the Realme GT 6’s retail box (global version). Like the GT 6T, the upcoming phone’s box also carries a darker theme. On the front, the handset’s name is printed in bright yellow, accompanied by the tagline (“Next Ai”) and the brand’s mascot toward the bottom. Moreover, the box retains the clean, minimalist look of the Realme GT 6T’s box.

Realme GT6 To Ship With AI Night Vision, Smart Loop, Smart Removal, And Smart Search

However, the second pic, which shows the other side of the box, reveals the GenAI features that will launch with the phone. First, the Realme GT6 will arrive with AI Night Vision. Since we only have to retail box images to go by, the AI Night Vision could be a display feature that switches to warmer tones in poorly lit environments or a feature that helps the primary camera click better images at night (it will likely be the second one).

Then there’s the AI Smart Loop that should be related to the smartphone’s text summarization and generation abilities. Another feature, called AI Smart Removal, should enable users to remove unwanted distractions from their pictures’ backgrounds. Last but not least, the AI Smart Search could be an enhanced lookup feature similar to Google’s Circle to Search.

Realme GT6: Expected Release Date And Specifications

The Realme GT6 will go official sometime next month, i.e., in June 2024. Regarding specifications, we speculate the smartphone to be based on a Snapdragon 8 series processor, most likely the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. Given that it will offer better specifications than the current Realme GT 6T, buyers should also expect the phone to arrive at a higher price tag.

According to recent rumors, the Realme GT 6 could come with a new type of battery. Digital Chat Station suggests that the handset will feature a negative silicon electrode high-density battery pack, which supports 100W fast wired charging. However, the exact details of the battery capacity aren’t available at the moment.

However, contrary to what we know, the new information suggests that the phone could come out in July. More details about the phone should surface on the internet in the near future.
