Samsung Galaxy S24 vs. S23 Design: What Changed?

Samsung is leaving no stone unturned in revamping the design of the Galaxy S24. While the front display maintains similar to predecessor with circa 6.17-inch flat panel, there are notable alterations in the side frames, resulting in a subtly different in-hand experience. The Galaxy S24 adopts a flat frame design, a departure from the rounded edges seen in previous iterations. This design choice may yield a more squared-off in-hand feel, garnering diverse opinions among users.

One of the most conspicuous design changes is the inclusion of a UWB (Ultra-Wideband) Antenna on the side. This marks a significant first for Samsung, as they allocate precious real estate to UWB technology within their Galaxy phone lineup. The bezels surrounding the screen have been noticeably reduced. From the video, it appears that the Galaxy S24 will offer a light blue color choice as one of its options.

In terms of dimensions, the Galaxy S23 (review) measures 146.3 x 70.9 x 7.6 mm, while the forthcoming Galaxy S24 is projected to be slightly taller and less wide, with dimensions approximately 147 x 70.5 x 7.6 mm. Despite these changes, the waistline of both phones remains consistent.

The rear panel of the phone maintains continuity with its predecessor, featuring three cameras protruding individually from the frame, accompanied by an LED flash. The renders suggest that the rear panel will boast a soft matte finish, enhancing the tactile feel when held in hand.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Specs and Features: What to Expect?

The Galaxy S24 features a flat-panel 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED Display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support and Gorilla Glass protection. With Samsung’s reputation for AMOLED screens, users can anticipate exceptional color accuracy, sharpness, and impressive peak brightness from the Galaxy S24’s display.

Under the hood, the Galaxy S24 is expected to pack a powerful punch in terms of processing capabilities. Although specific details remain confidential, it is safe to assume that Samsung will incorporate the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, ensuring seamless performance.
