Sony has quietly outed a new entry-grade handset, the Xperia L1, that’s powered by a MediaTek SoC and flaunts an almost edge-to-edge display. The Sony Xperia L1 price and availability details haven’t been specified as of yet.

To start with, the Xperia L1 features a 5.5-inch HD display. The 1.45GHz MT6737 chip is paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, which isn’t much but you are allowed to add 256GB of secondary MicroSD storage. The handset will be available in both dual SIM and single SIM variant, but the one that shall retail in India is more likely to have two SIM slots.
