Dyson Zone Headphones: Price

The company has revealed that the headphones will be priced at £749 in China which means $949 in the U.S. The headphones might come to India in the future, but nothing is hinted at about the India launch as of now.

Dyson Zone Headphones: Specs & Features

The Dyson Zone Headphones have an onboard sensor to monitor the levels of air pollution, alongside real-time environmental noise levels tracking via the MyDyson app. Using the application, you can adjust the airflow speed and noise cancellation mode. It offers Dyson EQ, Bass Boost, and Neutral modes for audio equalization.

There is a built-in accelerometer that can monitor the activity to adjust the purified airflow when in auto mode with the visor attached. It has a head detection feature as well that puts the headphones into standby mode, when not being worn, and dipping the detachable visor activates the conversation mode, stopping purification and pausing music. It also optimizes battery life.

The Dyson Zone headphones feature a USB Type-C port for charging and claim to give 50 hours of audio-only run time, or 4 hours of combined purification and audio run time, charging to 100% in about 3 hours.

The headphones have been designed to tackle the problems of pollution as well as noise in the city. There are compressors on each ear cup that draw air through the dual-layer filters and project two streams of purified air to the wearer’s nose and mouth-channeled through the non-contact detachable visor. The electrostatic filters claim to capture 99% of particles as small as 0.1 microns.

The Dyson Zone Headphones have 11 microphones, out of which 8 are for the ANC system to filter ambient noises up to 38dB. It reproduces frequencies from 6Hz to 21KHz to give clear audio quality and monitors surround sounds 384,000 times a second. There are dual microphone beamforming and noise suppression technology for clear audio calls, voice recording, and voice control.
