Samsung recently launched its Galaxy S9/ S9 Plus duo with reimagined cameras in India, but the last years’ Samsung Galaxy S8 continues to be a bestseller. So much so that Samsung has launched a new Burgundy Red color edition of the phone.
The Burgundy Red color was first launched in South Korea last year in November. Now the color will be available in India as a limited edition variant. Other color options include Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, Coral Blue, Arctic Silver, and Maple Gold.
“Galaxy S8 continues to be a bestseller, even a year after its launch. The limited edition of Galaxy S8 will set our consumers apart from everyone else. The Burgundy Red edition of Galaxy S8 will wow consumers and allow them to express their own personal style,” said Aditya Babbar, General Manager, Samsung India

Samsung Galaxy S8 Lowest Price in India
The best price of Samsung Galaxy S8 is Rs. 45, 959 at the time of writing. The official lowest price is Rs. 49,999. Currently, Paytm is also offering Rs. 10,000 Cashback on the purchase of S8.
In comparison, the newly launched Galaxy S9 has a market operating price of Rs. 57,990.
Is it ok to buy Samsung Galaxy S8 in 2018?
Apart from the new “luxurious hue” the hardware used remains same. The Galaxy S8 has infinity display, Exynos 8895 chipset paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, 12MP dual-pixel rear camera, and a 3000mAh battery. It’s a good high-end phone but the battery backup (as is the case with most flagships) is mediocre at best.
It’s upgraded variant, the Galaxy S9, looks almost similar but has better cameras, more powerful chipset, rich stereo speakers, and places the fingerprint sensor at a more pragmatic position. These are all meaningful changes but, on the other hand, the Galaxy S8 is a significant Rs. 15,000 cheaper if you key in the discounts.
