After a few years of depriving the Indian market of it, BMW has finally brought back the X6. That too, in the single most important variant. The new BMW X6 M60i has been launched in India at a starting price of ₹1.78 crores (ex-showroom) and comes with a V8 engine that produces 530 bhp of power. The new BMW X6 M60i xDrive is what BMW is calling a Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) and will be brought to India as a completely built unit (CBU) import.

During the launch, BMW Group India President and CEO Mr Hardeep Singh Brar said, “the new BMW X6 M60i xDrive is an absolute powerhouse engineered to command the road with an unmistakable, muscular stance. Positioned at the pinnacle of expressive luxury, this sports activity coupe is crafted for individuals who demand a distinct lifestyle.”

BMW X6 M60i – Design and Styling
The BMW X6 M60i xDrive has been launched with the iconic X6 silhouette of a bulky coupe-like SUV stance. The broad shoulders and wide stance remains, with the car looking as menacing as it used to from both the front and the rear. But the best part about the design remains the profile of the car. The scooping roofline very beautifully compliments the bulky stance of the new BMW X6 M60i.
The BMW X6 M60i xDrive has been launched in six colour options – Aventurine Red, Manhattan Metallic, Brooklyn Grey, Black Sapphire, Mineral White, and Isle of Man Green. There are multiple upholstery options also to choose from which include Sensafin, Silverstone, Tacora Red/Black, and Black and Cognac.

The best part about the design? The kidney grille lives on! Yes, the BMW X6 has a very recognisable and less controversial as compared to the Neue Klasse design that the newer BMWs are being launched with. We also get 21-inch alloy wheels with the new BMW X6 M60i xDrive.

BMW X6 M60i – Interiors and Powertrain
On the inside, the BMW X6 M60i comes with a new redesigned interior which has a 14.9-inch infotainment display, and a 12.3-inch instrument cluster. Both the screens are housed in a single curved panel, which we have also seen on other BMW cars in the last one year or so.

The engine powering the new X6 is a 4.4-litre twin turbo V8 engine which is mated to a 48V mild hybrid setup for torque assist. This engine produces 530 bhp of power and 750 Nm of peak torque. Mated to an 8-speed torque converter gearbox, the BMW X6 M60i xDrive goes from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.3 seconds!
