The Best Apple AirTag Alternatives Available in the Market

1. Samsung SmartTag

The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag uses Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy and is an alternate tracking device to the Apple AirTag. It is best for those who are Samsung users. The Galaxy SmartTag has a keyhole that can be attached to any object you want to track like keys, backpacks, purses, and more with the SmartThing App. However, it can be used with Samsung Galaxy Phones only.

It has an option that allows you to ring items as long as they are within 360 feet of Bluetooth. The tracker uses nearby Samsung Galaxy devices to track your possessions when they are out of Bluetooth range. This device can not locate objects but also control smart home devices. The SmartTag has close ties with Samsung’s SmartThings ecosystem and it costs Rs. 10,273 in India. The only limitation is that it is compatible with Samsung Galaxy phones only.

2. Tile Pro

Tile Pro is a good alternative for anyone using an Android or iPhone. Tile is one of the pioneers in the tracker market and Tile Pro is one of its best products. You can track your items with the Tile App if you have a Tile Pro attached to your keys, bag, or other items. If you need sound to locate a missing item, then it has a loudspeaker to locate it. Tile Pro also uses Bluetooth to locate objects in close proximity. It relies on the Tile community for things beyond the Bluetooth range of 400 feet. For making complete use of Tile Pro, you will need to subscribe to Tile Premium.

The battery of Tile Pro lasts a year but is replaceable but it can be swapped when drained out. It is water-resistant and more expensive than an Apple AirTag. Also, it is more difficult to set up, but has more features and lasts longer. You can skip the Tile Premium subscription and the Tile Pro with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. In India, the price of the Tile Pro Tag is Rs. 4352.

3.  Tile Slim

The Tile Slim is another Bluetooth tracker that is card-shaped and can be kept in wallets, pockets, backpacks, and other similar items. It comes in a variety of colors so you can choose which suits you best. It works in tandem with the Tile App and can track your item over a range of 250 feet. The battery lasts for 3 years but it can’t be replaced or recharged. It has a speaker and is water resistant as well. The voice assistant feature allows you to ring the tracker or ask for its location. Tile Slim is available in India for Rs. 2500 and it can be used by anyone who needs to keep track of their belongings.

4. Tile Sticker

Unlike the Apple AirTag, Tile Sticker sticks to your items with its self-adhesive backing and is suitable for flat surfaces. This is good for items that can’t be attached in any other way like bicycles, skateboards, remote controls, headphones, glasses, and the like. It has a range of 250 feet and is waterproof with a voice assistant option in-built. Tile Sticker is available in India for Rs. 7999 in packs of 4 and can be used with both Android and ios devices.

5. CubePro Tag

It works with Android as well as ios devices and the tracker has a modern metallic look with a good Bluetooth range. This makes it ideal for tracking items like keys, bags, purses, and the like. It has one of the loudest ringers (101dB) which is more audible in comparison to competitors so you can make noise with the tracker to find the item it is attached to. The Cube Pro has a 200-foot range and a replaceable battery. The tracker app shows the last known location of the tracker when it is out of range so it is easy to find.

If the tracker is out of range, it uses the Chipolo community to help find it. It is priced at Rs. 10,202 for bundle size and comes with a spare battery for 2 years. It is water resistant but the Chipolo community is small in comparison to Samsung, Apple, etc. This makes utility a bit restricted once the 200 feet range is breached.
