Taiwanese technology giant Asus is dishing out products one after another in India. In the last fifteen days is has made several announcements in the country. It started with ROG Phone 3 (review) launch, followed by Zenbook 14 (review) and last week it announced the Zephyrus G14 (review) in India. Following these launches, Asus has now launched four more gaming laptops headlined by the Strix G15 and G17. The other two laptops are Strix Scar 15 and Scar 17 which will go on sale something in September.
ROG Strix G15 & Stick G17
Asus’ 2020 edition of ROG Strix G15 and G17 are based on latest 10th-gen Intel Core processor options. The company is offering them with either the Core i5-10300H or the Core i7-10750H processor. Customers can buy these with up to 32GB DDR4 2933MHz RAM, 1TB of PCIe based SSD (total 3 stots) and up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU.
The Strix G15 ships with a 15.6-inch vIPS-level full-HD panel with 240Hz refresh rate and 3ms latency while Strix G17 boasts off a 17.3inch vIPS-level full-HD 144Hz refresh rate and 3ms latency.
Asus has fitted the keyboard with RGB backlight. As for connectivity, these laptops include three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port (supports DisplayPort), a LAN RJ-45 jack, an HDMI (HDMI 2.0b support 4K HDR), HDCP SPEC 2.2 and an audio combo jack. There is Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connectivity.
Asus has priced the Strix G15 (G512) from Rs 79,990 onwards while the Strix G17 (G712) starts from Rs 1,04,990. The G15 will be available on Flipkart while the G17 will go on sale on Amazon. Both laptops will be available from 3rd week of August onwards.

ROG Strix Scar 15 & Scar 17
These two Strix Scar series are the most powerful machines that Asus launched today. The new Strix Scar 15 can be pick up with up to an Intel Core i9-10980HK with Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 2070 Super and the Scar 17 with GeForce RTX 2080 Super.
Asus are offering these gaming ultrabooks with up to 32GB of DDR4 3200Mhz RAM, up to 1TB PCIe SSD (total 3 slots). Both laptops come with vIPS LED screen with full-HD (1920x1080p) resolution with 300Hz refresh rate and 3ms latency. There’s RGB lighting on the back of the panel, and keyboard also has per-key lighting which can be controlled via ASUS Aura Sync app.
Connectivity-wise, both laptops are equipped with three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, a USB3.2 Gen2 Type-C (with DisplayPort), an audio combo jack, a LAN RJ-45 jack, an HDMI port with HDMI 2.0b support 4K HDR, HDCP SPEC 2.2, along with standard Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. It also has Keystone II – an NFC based encryption key that we saw with last generation scar laptops.

ROG Strix Scar 15 & Scar 17 price in India and availability
Asus Strix G15 (G532) India pricing starts at Rs 1,44,990 and it will go on sale sometime in 3rd week of September in brick and motor stores. The company is yet to confirm Strix Scar 17 (G732) India price and slated it also for September availability.
