Asus ROG Phone 3 is all for its debut. That’s right, the Tawainese smartphone and PC maker has partnered with Tencent to launch the ROG Phone 3 in China. Asus officially confirmed its July launch on Weibo. While the Weibo post doesn’t reveal the launch date, it does state its partnership with Tencent and gaming optimisation. If you can recall, back in 2019, Asus also partnered with Tencent for the Asus ROG Phone 2 (review).

The Asus ROG Phone 3 leaks and rumours have started coming out thick and fast. Last week, the ROG Phone 3 was in the news with alleged hands-on images and before that, it was spotted on Geekbench listing.

In the joint statement published by Asus and Tencent on Weibo, PUBG mobile and Call of Duty Mobile maker said that with Asus ROG it will be making hardware performance optimizations for its games to offer more immersive gaming experience for its games on the ROG Phone 3. Apart from missing launch date, the statement also failed to highlight any specifications of the Asus ROG Phone 3.

It is worth pointing out that last year Tencent partnered with Asus to bring optimization to some of its games to take advantage of ROG Phone 2’s impressive innards and 120Hz AMOLED screen. Tencent’s some of the most popular mobile includes PUBG Mobile, Game for Peace (Chinese version), Call of Duty: Mobile, etc.
