ASUS ExpertBook, Chromebook, xpertCenter, and education models launched

Asus has refreshed its professional notebooks line up at CES 2021. The Taiwanese company showcased ExpertBook B9 (B9400 vPro), ExpertBook B1 (B1400, B1500), ExpertCenter D7 SFF, and D5 SFF. Asus is yet to reveal pricing and availability of these models in different regions.

Asus ExpertBook B9 (B9450CEA)

Asus ExpertBook B9 claims to be world’s lightest 14-inch business laptop. Asus employs the Intel V Pro platform for reliable performance, enhanced security, and improved IT management features. Asus, for the first time, has put in Intel’s Active Management Technology (AMT) in ExpertBook B9 for improved remote management. The 14-inch laptop also boasts off two-way AI noise-canceling technology for better signal clarity during video conferencing.

The ExpertBook B9450CEA is powered by 11th Gen Intel Core i7 CPUs with Intel Iris Xe Graphics. Asus is offering these business laptops with up to two 2 TB SSDs and can be configured in RAID 0 or RAID 1. It can be configured with up to 32 GB of LPDDR4x-4266 RAM.

Other noteworthy features of the ExpertBook B9 laptop are MIL-STD-810H durability certification, Intel WiFi 6, Intel Thunderbolt 4, and AdaptiveLock technology for secure unlock.

Asus ExpertBook B1

Asus also announced the ExpertBook B1 laptop which is powered by an 11th Gen Intel Core processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics. It can be configured with up to 48GB RAM and up to 1TB SSD storage capacity.

Asus has applied its ultra-efficient thermal design which enables users to smartly switch between Performance Mode to boost power for heavy workloads, Balanced Mode for everyday tasks, and Whisper Mode for quiet and power-saving operation.

The ExperBook B1 can be booked in either 14-inch or 15-inch NanoEdge display, which weighs 1.45kg or 1.72kg, respectively. As for connectivity, the ExpertBook B1 has Built-in ports include Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2 Gen 2 and USB 2.0 Type-A, HDMI 1.4, Ethernet and a microSD card slot.
